Job Description:

Role Summary

The Warden is responsible for overseeing hostel administration, student discipline, safety, welfare, and operational coordination. The role ensures a secure, inclusive, and well-managed residential environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth.

KRA: Task / Activities

·  Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the hostel including room allotment, occupancy management, check-in/check-out process, cleanliness, hygiene, and infrastructure upkeep.

·  Enforce hostel rules, university policies, and maintain discipline. Address misconduct, grievances, and conflicts fairly and confidentially.

·  Act as the primary point of contact for residents, providing emotional support, guidance, and creating a safe, inclusive, and positive living environment.

·  Ensure 24/7 safety of residents by supervising security staff, monitoring visitor logs, conducting safety inspections, and handling emergencies effectively.

·  Monitor food quality, hygiene standards, vendor coordination, and resolve complaints related to dining services.

· Serve as a bridge between students, parents, and university administration. Communicate policies, notices, and updates clearly and attend operational meetings.

· Maintain updated records of residents, attendance, incidents, inventory, and submit periodic reports to the operations department.

 

KPI: Performance Metrics

·  Zero major safety/security incidents

·  95%+ hostel occupancy management accuracy

·  Timely grievance resolution (within 24–48 hrs)

·  Hygiene & cleanliness audit compliance

·  Student satisfaction score improvement

· Timely report submission
