Job Description:

Position:        Cost & Management Accountant

Location:        Shirwal 

Experience:     5 - 10 years

Industries:      Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of product-wise cost sheets (Material, Labour, Overheads).
  • Standard costing and variance analysis (Material, Labour, Overhead).
  • Monthly cost comparison – Standard vs Actual.
  • Monitoring BOM accuracy and coordination with production & purchase teams.
  • Profitability analysis division-wise / project-wise.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Monitoring raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
  • Monthly physical stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Control of slow-moving / non-moving inventory.
  • Monitoring material consumption vs production output.
  • Ensure proper inventory valuation as per accounting standards.
  • Preparation of annual factory budget (Material, Power, Labour, Repairs, etc.).
  • Monthly budget vs actual analysis with variance explanations.
  • Monitor overhead absorption rates.
  • Ensure cost control measures are implemented in coordination with plant head.
  • Factory Accounting &Compliance
  • Maintain factory books of accounts.
  • Monthly factory P&L preparation.
  • Depreciation calculation for Plant & Machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS coordination if applicable).
  • Support internal & statutory audit. 
  • Monthly cost MIS to management.
  • Division-wise EBITDA reporting.
  • Working capital monitoring – Inventory & Debtors tracking.
  • Break-even analysis and contribution analysis.
  • Support management in pricing decisions.
  • ERP costing module management.
  • Implement maker-checker controls for factory accounting.
  • Strengthen internal controls for material movement and cost capture.
  • Process improvement initiatives for automation in cost tracking.

Required Skills:

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / ERP & GST preferred).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Required Qualification: - CMA

Salary: - Up to 8.00 LPA
