Job Description:
A professional driver is responsible for safely operating a vehicle to transport passengers or goods, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and8 mechanical soundness. Key duties include planning routes, loading/unloading items, timely deliveries, and keeping accurate records of mileage and fuel consumption.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation & Safety: Safely transport passengers or goods, adhering strictly to traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintenance: Perform routine inspections (tires, brakes, oil, fluids) and arrange for repairs or maintenance to keep the vehicle in1 good condition.
- Navigation: Use GPS and route-mapping tools to determine the fastest, safest routes, adjusting for traffic.
- Logistics & Documentation: Load and unload goods, document trip details, mileage, and fuel expenses.
- Client Service: Provide professional service, which may include assisting with luggage or acting as a courier.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous professional driving experience (usually 1+ years).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy goods when loading/unloading.
- Skills: Excellent navigation abilities, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or long shifts.
Common Job Requirements
- Possess a valid commercial driver's license (if required for the vehicle type).
- Familiarity with local, state, and national traffic laws.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics
