BOQ Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
 Prepare detailed BOQs for civil works and interior fit-out projects.
 Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (Architectural, Structural & MEP).
 Analyze drawings and specifications for material, labor, and equipment requirements.
 Prepare cost estimates and rate analysis.
 Floating inquiries to vendors and subcontractors; comparative statement preparation.
 Review and verify contractor bills and client billing.
 Track project quantities and variations (extra/substituted items).
 Assist in tender preparation and documentation.
 Coordinate with site engineers, architects, and procurement teams.
 Ensure compliance with project budgets and timelines.
 Maintain proper documentation of BOQs, revisions, and approvals.

Required Skills:
 Strong knowledge of civil construction and interior finishing works.
 Experience in hospitality/commercial/residential interior projects preferred.
 Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
 Good understanding of market rates and vendor management.
 Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
 Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications:
 B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
 3–6 years of experience in BOQ preparation and project estimation (Civil & Interior).
