Functional Area

Responsibilities

Risk Strategy & Governance

•Develop and implement the enterprise-wide risk management framework (ERM) aligned with the company’s business strategy.

•Lead the formulation of risk policies, limits, and control mechanisms across credit, market, operational, liquidity, and concentration risk.

•Present periodic risk reports, insights, and recommendations to the Board, Risk Management Committee, and senior leadership.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

•Ensure full compliance with NBFC regulatory requirements, including the RBI Scale-Based Regulation (SBR) framework.

•Oversee regulatory interactions, submissions, inspections, responses to queries, and compliance with statutory guidelines.

•Drive adherence to reporting standards related to listed debt instruments, rating agency interactions, and disclosure requirements.

Risk Monitoring & Controls

•Establish robust risk measurement models, rating frameworks, early warning systems, and stress-testing methodologies.

•Align risk practices with industry benchmarks and emerging regulatory expectations.

•Monitor portfolio health, asset quality, concentration exposures, liquidity buffers, and capital adequacy.

Listed Debt Compliance

•Ensure continuous compliance with listing regulations, debt trustees’ requirements, and timely disclosures.

•Coordinate with legal, treasury, compliance, and investor relations teams for smooth execution of listing-related activities.

Stakeholder Management

•Act as the primary risk advisor to the Board and management on emerging risks.

•Engage with regulators, rating agencies, lenders, auditors, and other external stakeholders.

•Collaborate with Business, credit, treasury, operations, legal, and IT teams to strengthen risk culture enterprise-wide.

Team Leadership

•Excellent board-level communication and executive presence.

•Strong stakeholder management across internal and external partners.

•Ability to lead teams, influence decision-making, and manage cross-functional initiatives.

 

 

 

Qualifications Skills & Experience

Educational Qualification

Postgraduate degree in Finance/Business/Economics, or a professional qualification such as CA / CFA / FRM (preferred)

Experience

10+ years post‑qualification experience with significant exposure to NBFC / infrastructure finance risk management.

Relevant Exposure

NBFCs / IDFs / Infrastructure finance entities

Preferred Experience

Prior exposure to managing regulatory audits, complex governance requirements, and risk frameworks for systemic NBFCs.

Handling of listed debt instruments, public debt programs, and associated compliance obligations.

Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of NBFC regulations, RBI SBR framework, and infrastructure financing norms.

Expertise in credit appraisal, portfolio management, operational risk, and risk modeling.

Proven experience managing compliance and disclosures for listed debt instruments.

Leadership Skills

Board‑level communication, stakeholder management, team leadership
