Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Valves

Department: Engineering

Reporting To: Assistant Manager – Design

Job Summary

Looking for a Senior Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in industrial valve design. The candidate should independently handle complete design activities from concept to production and support R&D and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Independently design and develop valves as per project requirements.

•Perform detailed design calculations (pressure rating, wall thickness, bolting, torque, thermal).

•Ensure compliance with API 6D, API 6A, ASME B16.34, ISO standards.

•Prepare and review 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.

•Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams during prototype and production stages.

•Support testing activities (hydro, pneumatic, functional, fire safe).

•Assist in technical discussions with customers and inspection agencies.

•Participate in failure analysis and design modifications.

Required Skills

•Strong knowledge of valve components and sealing systems.

•Ability to perform design calculations independently.

•Good understanding of materials, casting/forging, machining, and pressure testing.

•Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD.

•Good problem-solving skills.

Qualification

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Details :

1. Working Days: Monday to Saturday (1st and 3rd Saturdays off)

2. Experience: 8+

3. Working Time: 9.30am to 6.30pm

4. Gender Preference: Male / Female
