Job Description:
Job Summary
The Store Manager will be responsible for managing the overall store operations at the project site, including inventory control, material receipt and issuance, maintaining records, and ensuring proper storage of construction materials. The role requires coordination with procurement, project engineers, and vendors to ensure smooth material flow and accurate stock management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management

Maintain accurate records of all materials received, issued, and stored at the site.

Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of required construction materials.

Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation with system records.
2. Material Receipt & Inspection
-
Ensure proper documentation and verification of materials received from vendors.

Check materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
-
Coordinate with quality and site engineers for material inspection.
3. Material Issuance
-
Issue materials to site engineers and contractors as per approved requisitions.

Maintain material issue records and update stock registers regularly.
4. Store Organization & Safety
-
Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, theft, or loss.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the store area.

Implement proper stacking and labeling of materials.
5. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), material inward/outward registers, and stock reports.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.

Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal controls.
6. Coordination
-
Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and project teams for material planning.

Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to the management.
