Job Description:

Position:      GM Operations

Location:      Nagpur

Experience:  17 - 18 Years

Industries:   Chemical

Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operaons Management

  • Direct all aspects of plant operaons including producon, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain logiscs.
  • Ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes, opmal machine efficiency, and
  • adherence to producon KPIs. This includes managing operaons involving specific
  • equipment used in specialty chemical producƟon (e.g., compounding lines, mixers,various reactors).
  • Strategic Planning & Financial Management
  • Develop and implement operaonal strategies aligned with overall business goals to drive growth and profitability. Manage
  • the annual budget, drive cost opmizaon iniaves (energy, raw materials, logiscs), and oversee P&L performance for the site.
  • Safety, Health, and Environment (EHS):
  • Lead and enforce a "safety-first" culture, ensuring strict compliance with all local, naonal, and global environmental and safety
  • regulaons, including process safety management (PSM) and HAZOP studies. This includes specific experse in handling hazardous chemicals, exothermic reacons, and
  • solvent recovery processes typical in specialty chemical synthesis. Oversee incident invesgaon and the implementaon of correcve and prevenve acons (CAPA).
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry-specific quality standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, ASTM). Drive the reducƟon of producƟon defects, manage
  • customer complaints, and ensure product consistency and quality for domesc and
  • export markets, which often have stringent requirements for specialty products.
  • People Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large cross-funconal team, fostering a high-performance, collaborave work environment. Coordinate manpower planning, training, and talent retenƟon efforts.
  • Project Management & Connuous Improvement:
  • Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, plant upgrades, and capacity expansions. Lead connuous
  • improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) and support new product development (NPD) and trial runs crucial for the innovave specialty chemicals market.
  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Liaison
  • Liaise with local authoriƟes, statutory bodies (e.g., Polluon Control Board, Factory Inspectorate), and government agencies to ensure all
  • operaons are legally compliant. Coordinate with corporate teams, R&D, and markeng to align operaƟonal iniaves with business priories.

Salary:-  Upto 60.00 LPA
