CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT INTERN FOR IRON ORE MINES - KOLKATA , WEST BENGAL
Job Description:
A Chartered Accountant (CA) Intern supports audit, tax, and advisory teams by performing bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and data entry in software like Tally Prime. Responsibilities include assisting with statutory/internal audits, filing GST/TDS returns, and preparing financial statements. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in MS Office.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Auditing & Compliance: Assist in conducting statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits, including ledger scrutiny.
- Taxation: Prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns.
- Accounting & Bookkeeping: Perform daily data entries, bank reconciliations, and maintain financial records using Tally or similar software.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and MIS reports.
- Client Management: Support senior accountants in advisory services and maintain client relationships.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle documentation, invoice processing, and company incorporation/ROC work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing CA Intermediate or equivalent (e.g., B.Com, BBA).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), taxation, and auditing standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, willingness to learn, and professional communication skills.
