Job Description:

The GM – Pre-Sales & Estimation will lead the pre-sales’ function responsible for evaluating project requirements, preparing accurate estimates, BOMs, and budgets, and supporting the commercial process prior to project execution. The role will work closely with sales, design, production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure timely preparation of competitive proposals aligned with project scope, client expectations, and company cost benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Pre-Sales and Estimation function for interior projects including turnkey assignments, residential interiors, and customer-specific solutions.
  • Review client enquiries, drawings, and scope of work to develop preliminary BOMs and cost estimates.
  • Prepare comprehensive project estimates and BOQs covering in-house manufactured joinery and furniture (including doors), modular components, bought-out items, finishes and installation costs.
  • Conduct rate analysis using historical cost data and vendor quotations to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Work closely with design teams to align estimation with design intent, materials, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors to obtain quotations and validate material pricing.
  • Prepare project budgets and commercial proposals aligned with client budgets and project feasibility.
  • Support commercial discussions and negotiations with clients in coordination with the sales team.
  • Convert confirmed projects into internal documentation including Sales Orders (SO) and Work Orders (WO).
  • Maintain updated cost databases, material rates, and estimation templates to improve estimation efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure estimation accuracy, TAT compliance, and adherence to company estimation policies and approval hierarchy.
  • Provide commercial input during project execution to help monitor budget alignment and cost control.
