Job Description:
A Traffic Supervisor in a logistics company oversees the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods, managing driver schedules, route optimization, and regulatory compliance. They coordinate transportation teams, handle dispatch operations, and resolve logistical issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Key skills include leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Coordination: Plan, optimize, and manage delivery routes, schedules, and vehicle dispatching to ensure on-time delivery.
- Team Leadership: Supervise drivers and transportation staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate transportation records, including, logs, fuel consumption, and compliance documentation.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, reduce costs, and improve logistical workflows.
- Problem Resolution: Address transportation disruptions, such as accidents or delays, and handle customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or traffic management.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with proficiency in tracking software.
