Position Title Academy Trainer – Plastic Welding

Educational Qualification Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastics, or related engineering field
Location Chennai
Experience 10+ years in training, preferably in plastic welding or industrial technologies, Metal Welding.
Job outline The Training Academy Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a structured learning and development framework that enhances employee skills, ensures workforce readiness, and generates business value through external training initiatives. This role will drive capability-building programs aligned with organisational goals while establishing the Training Academy as a revenue-generating and industry-recognized center of excellence.
Responsibility & Deliverable Learning & Development (L&D)
• Design, develop, and implement learning programs to enhance employee technical and behavioural competencies.
• Identify training needs in coordination with department heads and leadership.
• Develop training modules, schedules, and certification programs aligned with business goals.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training interventions.
Talent Development & Workforce Readiness
• Build a strong internal talent pipeline by preparing employees for future roles.
• Coordinate induction, functional, and leadership training programs.
• Partner with business leaders to forecast skill requirements and design proactive learning strategies.
• Foster a continuous learning culture across all levels of the organisation.
Revenue Generation & Business Expansion
• Design and promote external training programs, workshops, and certification courses.
• Establish partnerships with industry associations, academic institutions, and corporate clients.
• Market training services to external participants to achieve revenue targets.
• Monitor P&L performance of the academy and ensure profitability.
Operations & Reporting
• Manage the Training Academy’s budget, calendar, infrastructure, and trainer database.
• Maintain accurate training records and generate monthly reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external accreditation standards.
• Leverage digital learning tools and LMS platforms for efficient training delivery.
Tasks & Activities • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design training programs and manage multi-location training initiatives.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, and regional languages.
• Willingness to travel as per training requirements.
