Job Description:

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Pharmacist to manage the pharmacy operations of our veterinary clinic while supporting front desk and receptionist functions. The role requires ensuring accurate dispensing of veterinary medicines, maintaining inventory, assisting pet owners with medication guidance, and delivering a professional client experience from appointment scheduling through billing and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

Pharmacy Responsibilities:

  • Dispense veterinary medications accurately as prescribed by veterinarians.
  • Verify prescriptions for dosage, formulation, and administration instructions.
  • Counsel pet owners on medication usage, storage, dosage schedules, and potential side effects.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of medicines, vaccines, consumables, and prescription products.
  • Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for procurement and stock replenishment.
  • Maintain pharmacy records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist veterinarians in preparing medications and treatment kits when required.

Reception & Front Desk Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and their pets in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and client inquiries.
  • Process billing, payments, invoices, and receipts.
  • Coordinate patient flow between reception, consultation rooms, pharmacy, and diagnostic services.
  • Manage follow-up reminders for vaccinations, deworming, medication refills, and routine health check-ups.
  • Address client concerns and escalate complex issues appropriately.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Valid pharmacist registration/licensure as applicable.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in veterinary pharmacy or animal healthcare is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management and billing software.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
