Distribution Planner / Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Distribution Planner / Manager to manage inventory allocation, warehouse distribution planning, and channel-wise stock availability across D2C, marketplaces, and offline channels.

The role requires strong coordination with supply chain, warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely product availability and optimized inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution & Inventory Planning

• Plan and allocate inventory across warehouse, D2C website, and marketplace channels (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, etc.)
• Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid stock-outs and overstocking
• Manage channel-wise inventory allocation and replenishment planning

Demand Forecasting

• Analyze sales trends and demand patterns across channels
• Support supply chain teams in production and procurement planning
• Monitor inventory turnover, sell-through rates, and stock aging

Warehouse & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with warehouse teams for dispatch planning and order fulfillment
• Ensure timely stock transfers between warehouses if required
• Improve fill rate and delivery efficiency

Data & Performance Monitoring

• Track KPIs like fill rate, inventory days, stock availability, and order fulfillment
• Maintain distribution planning dashboards and reports
• Identify opportunities to improve distribution efficiency and cost optimization

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years’ experience in distribution planning, supply chain, or inventory management
• Experience working with D2C brands, marketplaces
• Strong proficiency in Excel / inventory planning tools
• Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics planning
• Strong coordination and analytical skills
