Job Description:
The Data Entry Operator will manage large volumes of data—including structural materials, production schedules, and inventory tracking—into the company’s ERP or database systems. This role requires high typing speed, accuracy, and strong attention to detail to ensure that production records are error-free.
Core Responsibilities
- Data Input & Management: Entering production reports, raw material inventory (steel, bolts), and completed tower components into the database.
- Production Monitoring: Updating daily production logs, tracking project progress, and recording inventory levels, ensuring that production records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Inventory Reconciliation: Cross-referencing inventory received and shipped with purchase orders and shipping manifests to identify discrepancies.
- Document Verification: Reviewing and auditing raw data from the factory floor for errors or missing information before final input.
- Reporting: Generating daily, weekly, or monthly reports on inventory, production output, or dispatch status for management.
- Filing & Archiving: Maintaining digital and physical filing systems for invoices, packing slips, and production sheets.
- Confidentiality: Adhering to data protection regulations and securing proprietary company information, such as tower designs or client details.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Typing Speed/Accuracy: Minimum 40–50 words per minute (WPM) with a high degree of accuracy.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to recognizing inconsistencies in data.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with factory staff.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in data entry or computer applications is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a data entry operator or in a manufacturing/administrative role is preferred.
Potential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Data Entry Speed (Keystrokes per hour - KPH).
- Data Entry Accuracy Rate (Targeting 99-100% accuracy).
- Timely Completion of daily production logs and reports.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based, but may require coordination with or temporary presence in a factory environment.
- Requires long periods of sitting and focused keyboard work.
