Job Description:
A Production Shift Incharge oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are strictly followed. Key responsibilities include leading the production team, troubleshooting machinery issues, managing resources efficiently, and submitting detailed reports to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage and supervise production staff during the assigned shift to achieve daily production targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies,, GMP, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Monitor production processes to maintain product quality, minimize wastage, and reduce downtime.
- Shift Management: Prepare shift reports, handle shift handovers, and coordinate with other departments (maintenance, planning) for smooth operations.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot operational issues and machine breakdowns promptly.
- Team Development: Train, motivate, and guide subordinates, conducting performance check-ins.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Generally requires 3–6 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, often with prior supervisory experience.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, etc.) or related technical field.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Production volume vs. target.
- % reduction in waste/scrap.
- Safety incident rate.
- Product quality rate (rejections)
