State/Regional Manager – Digital Partnerships & Operations (Uttar Pradesh)
Job Description:
Role Objective
As the State Head/Regional Manager, you will be responsible for expansion across Uttar Pradesh wherein your role will be to build a robust ecosystem of Digital Service Providers (DSPs), navigate the state’s administrative landscape to ensure smooth project delivery & infrastructure deployment, and lead the technical and commercial launch of high-speed internet services primarily in unserved and under-served areas of Uttar Pradesh.
Key Responsibilities
1. DSP Ecosystem Development
• Oversee Identification, Evaluation and Shortlisting of potential Digital Service Providers who will serve as entrepreneurs and offer Internet & Broadband services in unserved and under-served areas of Uttar Pradesh.
• Oversee comprehensive training programs for DSPs covering technical network building, troubleshooting, operational excellence, and sales/marketing strategies.
• Act as a consultant to DSPs during their network build-out phase, providing expert guidance on overcoming physical and technical deployment hurdles.
2. Government Liaison & Regulatory Affairs
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the concerned authorities including District Magistrates (DMs) in the state of Uttar Pradesh across various UP districts to align project goals with local governance.
• Ensure all operations comply with the DOT guidelines.
3. Network Commissioning & Launch
• Supervise the end-to-end commissioning of the network, ensuring hardware and fiber assets meet global quality standards.
• Manage the seamless provisioning of high-speed bandwidth and internet services from the core network to the DSP’s end-customers.
• Project-manage the "Go-Live" phase, ensuring all systems (billing, support, and connectivity) are functional for a successful commercial launch.
• Oversee the business commissioning of the DSP and ensure a path to financial profitability for the DSP.
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :
Candidate Profile
• Experience: 12–16 years in Operations / Telecom Operations / ISP Management.
• Familiarity with having handled state administrative hierarchy and interacting with district-level officials.
• Understanding of GPON/FTTH architecture, IP networking, and bandwidth management.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to train local entrepreneurs and turn them into successful business partners.
