Job Title: Factory Accounts Manager
Location: Kundaim Goa
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Finance Head at HO / Plant Head at Plant
Job Summary:
The Factory Accounts Manager is responsible for managing all accounting, costing, financial reporting, inventory control, and compliance activities at the factory level. The role ensures accurate cost tracking, control over production expenses, statutory compliance, and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Factory Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain factory books of accounts on daily basis.
• Ensure accurate recording of production, material consumption, and overhead expenses.
• Monitor factory-level revenue and expenses.
• Prepare monthly factory MIS and respective reports.
• Timely review and Authorise the invoices / DN / CNs
• Monthly Bank reco
2. Costing & Inventory Control
• Conduct stock verification (RM, WIP, FG, scrap) for various location at Goa
• Monitor inventory aging and slow-moving stock.
3. Statutory & Tax Compliance
• Ensure GST compliance related to factory transactions.
• Monitor ITC reconciliation and vendor compliance.
• Handle TDS, PF, ESIC compliance (if applicable).
• Coordinate with auditors during internal & statutory audit.
4. Payables & Receivables
• Verify and process vendor bills related to factory purchases.
• Ensure GRN matching and purchase reconciliation.
• Monitor advances to vendors and settlement.
• Coordinate with HO for payment processing.
5. Fixed Asset Management
• Maintain fixed asset register for plant & machinery.
• Track capitalization of assets and depreciation.
• Verify physical assets periodically.
6. Internal Controls & Audit
• Conduct periodic internal audits of stock and expenses.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and company policies.
Required Qualifications:
• Inter CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com with relevant experience
• 5–10 years experience in manufacturing industry, Preferably in Plant
• Strong knowledge of costing and accounting
• Good understanding of GST and statutory compliance
• Liaison with external agency like Banks, Local Government body , Land lords
• Team Management
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle / etc.)
