Job Description:
Role Purpose
The Vice President – Strategy & Corporate Development will be a key strategic partner to the Managing Director and will lead Gala’s inorganic growth agenda. This role is mission‑critical during acquisition cycles and will drive end‑to‑end corporate development initiatives including target identification, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring support, joint venture development, and post‑merger integration planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Development & Acquisitions (Primary Focus)
- Identify and evaluate acquisition targets in Springs, Fasteners, Forgings, and precision engineering sectors across India and Europe.
• Lead complete deal lifecycle from screening, financial modelling, due diligence coordination to strategic fitment analysis.
• Support MD in negotiations, valuation assessment, and transaction structuring.
• Develop post‑merger integration blueprints with cross‑functional leaders.
2. Joint Ventures & Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and evaluate JV opportunities in EV ecosystem, Hydrogen value chain, Aerospace & Defence and Railways.
• Conduct partner assessment, synergy evaluation, and business case development.
• Support structuring of JV agreements and governance models.
3. Strategic Planning & Market Intelligence
- Work closely with MD on long‑term strategic roadmap and diversification plans.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
• Provide data‑backed strategic insights for leadership decision‑making.
4. Board & Leadership Enablement
- Prepare investment notes, board presentations, and strategy papers.
• Act as internal anchor between finance, legal, business heads, and external advisors during transactions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years of experience in Corporate Development / M&A within Indian manufacturing companies OR Strategy Consulting with B2B focus plus corporate exposure OR Private Equity with manufacturing exposure.
• Proven track record of executing acquisitions or joint ventures.
• Background in Mechanical / Precision Engineering / Auto Components / Industrial Manufacturing preferred (Pharma acceptable with strong M&A exposure).
Education
BE / BTech with MBA from a premier institute.
Age Bracket
32 to 40 years.
