Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 1. Contract Management & Negotiation • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, vendor contracts, NDAs, and SLAs. • Ensure contracts are legally sound, compliant, and protect company interests. • Support sales, operations, and procurement teams with contract interpretation and risk assessments. 2. Regulatory & Compliance • Ensure compliance with logistics, transportation, customs, import–export laws, and other regulatory frameworks. • Advise teams on licensing, permits, local filings, and compliance obligations. • Develop, maintain, and update internal legal policies. 3. Dispute Resolution & Litigation Management • Manage customer/vendor disputes related to freight claims, damages, service failures, delays, and billing issues. • Liaise with external counsel and oversee litigation, arbitration, or settlements. • Maintain complete documentation and claim records. 4. Corporate Governance • Support board meetings, resolutions, corporate filings, and statutory documents. • Assist with entity formation, restructuring, and secretarial activities. 5. Risk Management • Identify potential legal risks and propose mitigation strategies. • Conduct legal and compliance training sessions. • Prepare risk reports for business decision-making. 6. Support for Business Expansion • Provide legal guidance for M&A; activities, joint ventures, new facility leases, and cross-border operations. • Conduct legal due diligence on vendors and partners. Key Skills & Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM). • 8–12 years of legal experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, transportation. • Strong knowledge of commercial laws, contracts, logistics regulations. • Experience handling disputes and working with external counsel. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
