SR. ACCOUNTANT FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw material, labor, and overhead costs, to optimize production efficiency and inventory valuation.
• Taxation & Compliance: Manage direct and indirect tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and ensure compliance with statutory norms and GAAP/IFRS.
• Reconciliation & Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and perform reconciliations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank accounts.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Develop financial forecasts, monitor budgets, and analyze variances to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for statutory audits. 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or B.Com. A CA/CMA qualification is often preferred.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the steel, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP compliance, inventory accounting, and tax regulations.
• Abilities: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage staff. 

• Experience in the iron & steel, coal, or raw material manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of GST compliance for manufacturing units.
