MS SQL Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft SQL Developer to join our existing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL development, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server, along with expertise in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and PowerBI. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain database solutions that support our business objectives.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and data warehouses.
• Manage performance of SQL queries on MS SQL and other databases.
• Create efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support application development.
• Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS for data integration and migration.
• Design and develop reports using PowerBI for data visualization and analysis.
• Design and develop reports using SSRS for data visualization and analysis.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective database solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in SQL Server development.
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Developer, with at least 6 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design principles.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, across multiple versions.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development.
• Expertise in PowerBI reporting and creation of Dashboards and customization.
• Expertise in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for report development and customization.
• Familiarity with database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new and evolving technologies
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Certifications such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) in SQL Server are a plus
