A Field Executive for an advertising agency in India acts as the crucial on-ground link between the agency, its clients, and the public, focusing on direct sales, campaign implementation, and relationship management. This role involves traveling to client locations to secure advertising spaces, monitor campaign placement (outdoor/print), and generate new business leads.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- On-Ground Client Servicing: Visiting clients regularly to understand their advertising needs, address queries, and present marketing solutions.
- Sales and Lead Generation: Proactively identifying new business opportunities, cold calling, and pitching advertising services (e.g., hoarding space, radio spots, digital packages) to prospective clients.
- Field Operations & Monitoring: Ensuring all offline advertising materials (banners, hoardings, billboards, posters) are installed correctly, maintained, and displayed as per the agreed schedule.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with clients and vendors.
- Reporting and Analysis: Submitting daily/weekly reports on field activities, customer feedback, and competitor activities to the senior management.
- Negotiation: Negotiating rates, contracts, and budgets with clients and media vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising, or a related field. Some agencies may accept 10+2 with relevant field sales experience.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in field sales, advertising, or client servicing, preferably in an agency or B2B environment.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in local languages, and ability to use CRM tools.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
