ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – FINANCE
Job Description:
WHO WE ARE
We are one of India's fastest-growing chemical distribution companies— bootstrapped, profitable, and moving fast. 250+ people. Pan-India presence. Marquee clients: Asian Paints, PI Industries, UPL, Syngenta. Global supply partners: Dow, ExxonMobil, Celanese, Momentive. We are a massive company that intends to still be agile - and the finance function sits at the centre of every growth decision.
THE ROLE
You will own the company's cash engine. This is a high-trust, high-responsibility position. You'll work directly with founders and senior leadership on liquidity strategy, banking relationships, capital structure, and financial decision-making that actually moves the needle. If you've been waiting for a role where your work is visible, your calls matter, and the scope expands as fast as you can grow into it — this is it.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Cash flow planning, forecasting, and optimisation across the business
Working capital efficiency — receivables, payables, inventory cycles
Banking strategy: manage, negotiate, and grow relationships with lenders and FIs
Debt structuring, trade finance, and limit management
Leading a team of 10 — setting standards, building capability, driving accountability
Strategic input on capital allocation and funding decisions alongside leadership
WHO THIS IS FOR
This role is designed for someone who's been under-levelled elsewhere — someone who has the skills and the drive but hasn't had the platform to show it. You are:
Someone who takes ownership before being asked
A business-owner in mindset, not a box-ticker
Fast, execution-focused, and comfortable with ambiguity
Hungry — not just for a title, but for real responsibility and real results
Energised by the idea of building something, not just managing something
WHAT YOU BRING –
5–10 years in treasury, corporate finance, or cash flow management
– Strong command of banking, debt structures, and trade finance instruments especially related to imports
– A track record of owning bank relationships and negotiating facilities – Sharp analytical skills
— you're comfortable with financial models and know how to use them to make decisions, not just decorate slides
– Fluency with Excel; bonus if you've worked with FP&A tools or AI-assisted workflows
– CA or MBA (Finance) preferred
— but pedigree matters less than what you've actually built
