WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Weighing Operations: Operate electronic weighbridge systems (Dharamkata) to weigh inbound/outbound trucks, measuring gross and tare weights to calculate net weight.
- Documentation: Generate, verify, and issue accurate weighment slips, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Data Management: Maintain comprehensive computerized logs and spreadsheets of material movement (e.g., steel plates, scrap, finished structural steel).
- Compliance: Ensure vehicles comply with legal weight restrictions and company safety standards.
- Communication: Coordinate with security, transport drivers, and dispatchers to ensure smooth traffic flow and accurate documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance of the weighbridge area to ensure operational functionality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Typically 12th pass, Graduation is preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years in a similar industry (steel, power, logistics).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and weighing software (e.g., SAP).
- Required Attributes: High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in shifts.
Typical Work Environment
- Positioned in a control cabin near the entry/exit gates of a steel fabrication or manufacturing plant.
- Full-time, often requiring rotational shifts to match factory production timings.
