Job Description:

Throughput Contribution

• Expedite work to ensure achievement of set production targets as per primavera plan 
• Meet quality requirement of the customers and ensure reduction of cost
• Manage critical machines and resource planning for shop floor
• Monitor and ensure correctness of welding process as per Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and ensure strict adherence to welding parameters
• Ensure reduction of rework
• Monitor execution of daily plans with shop supervisors for each project and schedule cross functional meetings to review the progress of the activities
• Optimize utilization of automatic and semiautomatic processes to reduce manpower requirement
• Coordinate and provide feedback to manufacturing planning for planning and monitoring of projects
• Ensure execution of maintenance plan for all machines in shop floor
• Ensure follow-up with Quality department for stage inspections and NDT for testing
• Follow up with purchase department for timely delivery of project material and items
• Drive and implement management systems and initiatives such as IMS (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001), TPM, KAIZEN and Business Excellence for department
• Manage industrial relations to ensure harmonious work environment
• Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all levels and good housekeeping levels are maintained
• Drive and implement improvement projects related to Environment, Energy and Safety.

Capital Efficiency

• Ensure that sequences are in concurrence with shop managers feedback
• Create/Form data base for technical causes of delays & suggest corrective action.
• Modifications of plans after revisions in drawings
• Initiate actions for development of fixtures / arrangements ready for use.
• Maintain estimated versus actual data for man-day-s allocated for all subcontracted components
• Expedite work at every level to ensure the desired targets
• Impart/Provide necessary training to the users for primavera implementation

Improvement and Strategic Initiatives

• Ensure implementation of TPM (Total Productive Management) as per the divisional goal
• Ensure TPM and Kaizen targets are achieved
• Measure and take actions to improve performance of each manufacturing department
• Work towards enhancing technical competencies of team and develop junior colleagues to take up larger roles.

Qualifications Required: Diploma / Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Production)

Special Skills Required:

• Operational knowledge of sequence of manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with international codes like ASME, TEMA etc.
• Familiarity with various national and international material specifications
• Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and related procedures
• Knowledge of ERP and Primavera software
• Computer Proficiency

Work Experience Required: Minimum 8 years (Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Production) | Minimum 10 years (Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Production) of experience in Process Equipment Industry in manufacturing of Heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, Columns and Reactors etc.
