COMPUTER/TALLY OPERATOR FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

A Computer or Tally Operator in a steel company is responsible for maintaining accurate computer-based records of accounts, inventory, billing, purchase, and sales using accounting software such as TallyPrime. The role ensures smooth data entry, documentation, and financial record management for daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Entry & Accounting

• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally or similar software
• Record purchase, sales, receipts, and payments
• Update ledgers, vouchers, and journals accurately
• Ensure proper GST and tax-related entries

2. Inventory Management (Steel Materials)

• Maintain stock records of steel items (rods, sheets, scrap, etc.)
• Update inward and outward material entries
• Reconcile physical stock with system records
• Assist in stock audit and reporting

3. Billing & Documentation

• Prepare invoices, delivery challans, and purchase orders
• Generate GST-compliant bills
• Maintain soft and hard copies of documents
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers for billing clarification

4. Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Provide sales, purchase, and stock summaries to management
• Assist in financial reporting and audit preparation

5. Office Computer Work

• Maintain emails, Excel sheets, and reports
• Handle printing, scanning, and file management
• Support general office administration tasks

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience in Tally accounting software (preferred)
• Basic accounting knowledge (debit/credit, GST)
• Accuracy in data entry
• Knowledge of inventory handling (steel industry preferred)

Qualifications

• Minimum: 12th pass / Graduate in Commerce or related field
• Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) preferred
• Experience: 1–3 years (freshers may apply in some companies)
