Job Description:
A Solar Store Manager (or Store Keeper/In-charge) for installation projects oversees inventory, receipt, and dispatch of solar components (panels, inverters, structures) at project sites or warehouses. They ensure accurate stock records, manage procurement, coordinate with installation teams to meet deadlines, and utilize ERP systems to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control: Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical audits.
- Site Support: Coordinate with site in-charges to determine materials needed and track consumption to prevent shortages.
- Procurement & Logistics: Place orders with purchasing departments for materials, managing vendor receipts, and ensuring materials are delivered to the right location.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels and project material consumption, often using computerized ERP systems.
- Storage Management: Ensure solar components are properly stored to prevent damage.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse management, preferably in solar, construction, or electrical fields.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with project teams.
