Quality inspector
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Identify defects and non-conformities; report issues to the production team
- Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures (ISO, 5S, etc.)
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for quality improvement
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI/Graduate in Mechanical or relevant field
- Hands-on experience in quality inspection in manufacturing
- Knowledge of quality tools (7QC tools, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Familiarity with measuring instruments
- Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting)
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
