Job Description:
A Tally Operator in a paint manufacturing unit is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, inventory, and accounting records using Tally ERP 9/Prime software. In the manufacturing context, this role specifically focuses on tracking raw material purchases, production vouchers, and inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry & Bookkeeping: Accurately input daily transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Inventory Management: Track stock levels for raw materials (pigments, resins, solvents) and finished paint products.
- Production Recording: Track material issues to production, production vouchers, consumption, wastage, and production output.
- Invoicing & Billing: Generate sales invoices, purchase orders, and maintain ledgers.
- Bank & Account Reconciliation: Perform bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Compliance & Tax: Support GST, TDS, and income tax documentation/filings.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing MIS reports and financial statements for management.
Requirements
- Education: B.Com preferred, or equivalent experience in accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime and MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a manufacturing unit.
- Key Attributes: Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and knowledge of GST compliance.
Typical Working Conditions
- Industry: Paint Manufacturing, Agro-chemical, or Industrial Suppliers.
- Location: Usually on-site at the manufacturing factory or office.
- Salary Range: Frequently reported between ₹10,000 - ₹15000 per month, depending on experience and location.
This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory and financial records to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
