Planning & Billing Engineer

Job Description:

Role Summary

This role is critical for maintaining project timelines and financial health. It requires a professional who can bridge the gap between site execution and commercial documentation through precise scheduling and billing accuracy.

KRA: Task / Activities

• Planning & Scheduling: Prepare/maintain project schedules (MS Project/Primavera) and track progress against baselines.
• Billing Execution: Prepare and verify RA bills, final bills, and subcontractor bills with high measurement accuracy.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Generate weekly/monthly MIS, look-ahead plans, and highlight deviations or delays.
• Internal Coordination: Work with site teams, QS, and accounts to ensure seamless billing cycles and pending certifications.

KPI: Performance Metrics

• Accuracy of progress vs. baseline reporting.
• Timeliness of bill submissions and approvals.
• Zero errors in measurement sheets.
• Consistency in MIS reporting.

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of MS Project or Primavera P6 for baseline creation and tracking.
• In-depth understanding of IS Codes for measurements and standard procedures for RA & Final Bill preparation.
• Ability to create and manage complex MIS reports and look-ahead schedules.
• Proficiency in reading structural and architectural drawings for accurate BOQ verification.

Preferred skills

• Ability to use Macros, Pivot Tables, and advanced lookups for large-scale data · reconciliation..
• Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) to track cost performance alongside schedule performance.
• Previous experience working within an ERP environment (like SAP or specialized construction ERPs) for billing cycles.
