Job Description:

Duties & responsibilities:

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Lead the installation and commissioning of PLC-based control panels, VFDs, MCCs, PCCs, and customized control panels at both factory and client sites.
  • Configure and calibrate PLCs, VFDs, and other components to ensure optimal performance and integration with customer systems.
  • Conduct factory and on-site testing to verify functionality, safety, and performance according to project specifications and industry standards.

Project Execution and Troubleshooting:

  • Manage end-to-end project execution for automation systems, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues during installation and commissioning, minimizing system downtime and ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Ensure all installations and system configurations meet design and safety requirements, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Customer Coordination and Training:

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements and ensure successful system integration.
  • Provide hands-on training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of installed systems.
  • Develop and maintain application notes, user guides, and training materials to support customer knowledge and self-sufficiency.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) to validate system functionality and ensure adherence to customer requirements.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and any adjustments made during the commissioning process.
  • Ensure that all work meets quality assurance standards and industry regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including commissioning reports, testing records, and any necessary updates to system configurations.
  • Keep a detailed log of technical issues encountered and resolved, contributing to continuous improvement.

Technology Updates and Application Development:

  • Stay current with new automation technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain application notes on emerging automation techniques, software updates, and hardware configurations to enhance internal knowledge sharing.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Required experience in installation, commissioning, and project execution for PLC and control panel systems, including VFD, MCC, PCC, and customized automation systems.
  • Strong background in troubleshooting, testing, and configuring PLCs, VFDs, and other control components.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with PLCs from major brands (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider).
