- Production Support: Assist in executing daily production plans, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembling metal structures.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Quality Control (QC): Perform in-process inspection and final inspection of fabricated components to ensure they meet technical standards and specifications.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare reports on production status, material usage, and work-in-progress (WIP) and maintain documentation like Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on the shop floor.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic technical issues with equipment or production processes.
- Material Handling: Aid in managing raw materials and tools, often following 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Qualifications
- Education: BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering.
- Experience: Fresher or up to 1 year of experience.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software, MS Office (Excel), and understanding of metal fabrication processes (welding, cutting, forming).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, willingness to work in a shop floor environment, and ability to work in teams.
