Production incharge - Bharuch

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Production Head to oversee manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day production campaign planning, scaling up production for new products, preparing and reviewing Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and driving initiatives for yield and quality improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a background in CDMO, agrochemical industries, or specialty chemical manufacturing with strong leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate effectively with maintenance, quality control (QC), and other departments. Candidates should have experience handling operations in a DCS control plant with safety interlocks, knowledge of P&ID, HAZOP and engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand safety requirements of hazardous processes
• Develop and execute production plans to meet output targets while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Lead scale-up activities for new chemical products from laboratory to production scale with R&D Dept.
• Prepare and review Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead customer and certification audits in the production area and review production records.
• Implement strategies for improving yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of production processes.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of production equipment and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with QC department to monitor product quality and implement measures for continuous improvement.

Drive initiatives for environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance within the production area.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

•         B.Sc., M.Sc. or Chemical Eng.

•         15-20 years of experience In handling chemical manufacturing plants

•         Experience with complex multi-step synthesis of intermediates

Preferred Skills

•         Experience working with a large team

•         Experience working with a DCS Controlled plant

•         Experience with production of heterocyclics such as Pyridines, Pyrimidines, etc.
