Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations for the convenience store network. This includes procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor coordination, and ensuring product availability while minimizing costs and wastage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals
- Forecast demand and ensure optimal stock levels across stores
- Monitor market trends to adjust supply plans
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery
3. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate inventory levels across all stores and warehouses
- Reduce stock outs, overstocking, and product expiries
- Implement inventory control systems and best practices
4. Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Optimize delivery routes and reduce logistics costs
- Ensure timely replenishment of stores
5. Operations Coordination
- Work closely with store managers to understand demand patterns
- Ensure smooth flow of goods from warehouse to store shelves
- Resolve supply-related issues quickly
6. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor supply chain KPIs (cost, service level, turnaround time)
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Minimize shrinkage and wastage
7. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Maintain product quality and safety standards
- Conduct audits of suppliers and internal processes
- Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management systems / ERP
- Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes
- Leadership and team management skills
