Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics & Communication Engineer with strong expertise in mathematical modellingalgorithm development, and vehicle network communication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing algorithms, analyzing and automating mathematical models, and working with embedded systems and CAN based vehicle communication protocolssuch as J1939UDS, and CAN 2.0/FD.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Mathematical Modelling & Algorithm Development

· Develop mathematical models for  signal processing, sensor fusion, and performance prediction.

· Design and optimize algorithms based on physical system behaviour, statistical techniques, and numerical methods.

· Validate models using simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent.

· Convert mathematical concepts into production ready embedded algorithms.

2. Vehicle Network Communication (CAN)

· Work extensively with CAN, CAN FD, and higher-layer protocols including:

SAE J1939

UDS (ISO 14229)

OBD-II, ISO 15765

· Develop and interpret DBC files, CAN signals, PGNs, SPNs, diagnostic messages, service identifiers (SIDs), and DIDs.

· Implement diagnostic routines: DTC handling, bootloader flashing basics, and communication stack understanding.

3. Embedded Systems Integration

· Basic development for microcontrollers (ARM, STM, Renesas, NXP, etc.).

· Work with embedded C for algorithm integration (basic to intermediate level).

· Collaborate with firmware teams to ensure correct implementation of math models.

4. Automation & Visualization

· Automate data analysis and model validation using:

o Python

o MATLAB

o Excel macros (optional)

· Create dashboards, plots, charts, and visualization tools for interpreting model outputs and system performance.

5. Documentation & Reporting

· Prepare technical documentation for models, algorithms, signal definitions, and diagnostics.

· Support system testing and validation teams with model insights and analysis reports.

 Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

· Strong foundation in mathematics, especially

o Linear algebra

o Probability & statistical modelling

o Control theory

o Numerical methods

· Deep understanding of CAN communication, message decoding, and diagnostic communication.

· Hands-on ability to work with tools such as:

CANalyzer / CANoe / Vehicle Spy / PCAN tools

MATLAB/Simulink

Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib)

Soft Skills

· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

· Strong documentation abilities.

· Good cross functional communication.

· Ability to translate mathematical concepts into practical algorithms.

Education

· B.E/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or related fields

Preferred (Good to Have)

· Experience in automotive ECU development.

· Experience with model based design workflows.

· Hands-on with HIL systems.
