Job Description:
A Solar Sales Executive/Officer drives revenue by prospecting residential or commercial clients, conducting site assessments, and closing sales for solar panel installations. Key responsibilities include generating leads, educating customers on energy savings and incentives, and managing the sales process from initial contact to contract signing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Generate leads through cold calling, door-to-door sales, networking, and referrals.
- Site Evaluation: Conduct on-site inspections, measuring roof suitability, shading, and assessing energy needs.
- Customer Education & Proposals: Present tailored solar solutions, including customized designs, cost-benefit analysis, and return on investment (ROI).
- Closing & Contracting: Negotiate contracts and finalize sales agreements, including handling documentation.
- Relationship Management: Maintain client relations through the installation process to ensure satisfaction and obtain future referrals.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably within the renewable energy or solar sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, and net metering.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts simply.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office.
- Requirements: A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
