Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QC Engineer to oversee and ensure product quality across all stages of manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality standards, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, and coordinating with production teams to maintain high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspection & Control:

 Conduct stage-wise inspections of raw materials, in-process fabrication, and finished products.

 Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards. 

 Perform dimensional inspections and verify product quality before dispatch.

 Monitor welding quality and ensure compliance with WPS/PQR requirements. 

 Review material test certificates (MTC), calibration certificates, and inspection reports. 

Documentation & Compliance:

 Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as: 

o Inspection reports 

o NCR reports 

o QAP/ITP documentation 

o Final quality dossiers 

o Material traceability records

 Ensure compliance with industry standards such as: 

o ASME  o API  o IBR  o ISO  o PED (if applicable) 

Testing & Coordination:

 Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and client inspectors.

 Handle NDT activities such as:  o RT  o UT  o PT  o MT  o Hydro Testing  o Pneumatic Testing

 Monitor testing schedules and ensure timely completion.  Process Improvement:  Identify quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.   Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures.

 Work closely with production, design, and procurement teams to improve product quality. 

Team Management:

 Guide junior QC engineers and inspectors. 

 Ensure proper allocation of inspection responsibilities. 

 Conduct internal quality awareness sessions when required. 

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy / Production Engineering 

 Additional certifications in NDT/ Welding Inspection preferred 

Required Skills:

 Strong knowledge of fabrication processes 

 Pressure vessel inspection knowledge 

 Heat exchanger inspection experience 

 Welding inspection expertise 

 Ability to read engineering drawings 

 Knowledge of international codes and standards 

 Documentation and reporting skills 

 Problem-solving abilities

 Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Experience:

Candidates having experience in manufacturing of:

 Pressure Vessels

 Heat Exchangers

 Reactors 

 Columns 

 Storage Tanks 

 Piping Systems

 Skid Packages will be preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

 Reduction in quality defects

 On-time inspection completion 

 Customer inspection approval rate

 Reduction in NCRs

 Compliance with documentation timelines
