MECHANICS FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH
Job Description:
- Preventive/Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to reduce downtime, including routine inspections of machinery.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Instrument Calibration: Calibrate and test sensors, instruments, and control systems to ensure accuracy, as highlighted for
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to identify hazards.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with production teams and provide training to junior staff.
- Experience: Generally 2–7 years in a steel plant or heavy industry setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Skills: Problem-solving, team management, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Certification: Specialized training in mechanics, electronics, or a related field
- Instrument Mechanic (Steel Plant): Focused on instrument troubleshooting and calibration
- Electronics Mechanic (Steel Plant): Focuses on complex electrical systems
- Mechanical Engineer/Supervisor: Oversees operations in departments like the Rolling Mill or SMS.
- Plant Mechanic: Repairs industrial AC/DC motors, generators, and related gearboxes.
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
- Experience: 2–7 years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Ability to work independently, manage teams, and solve technical issues.
