Job Description:

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Accounts with strong experience in taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting within the real estate and construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing GST, TDS, Income Tax compliance, audits, reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to statutory regulations while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants.

KRA: Task / Activities

  • Manage end-to-end GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance.
  • Ensure timely filing of returns, tax payments, and reconciliations.
  • Handle audits, notices, refunds, and assessments.
  • Manage tax litigation and coordinate with auditors and consultants.
  • Implement and monitor compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions on tax compliance and statutory updates.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management.
  • Provide regular compliance updates and support to internal departments.
  • Review and interpret notices received from GST and Income Tax departments.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and statutory documentation.

KPI: Performance Metrics

  • Timely filing of statutory returns and tax payments.
  • Accuracy in GST, TDS, and Income Tax reconciliations.
  • Effective handling of audits, notices, and assessments.
  • Compliance adherence with minimal penalties or delays.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of management reports.
  • Coordination efficiency with auditors, consultants, and internal teams.
Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Tally and MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of GST filing and E-Invoicing
  • Ability to read and understand GST & Income Tax notices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Documentation and reporting abilities

Preferred skills

  • Experience in Real Estate & Construction industry
  • Exposure to handling audits and tax litigation
  • Experience coordinating with consultants and auditors
  • Team handling and process improvement exposure
