Job Description:
A Fitter for Ferro Alloys in Raipur is responsible for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of heavy mechanical equipment, including submerged arc furnaces, raw material handling systems, and cranes. This role requires specialized skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems, often involving fabrication and welding in a high-temperature industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Perform daily checks, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery like crushers, conveyor systems, and gearboxes.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Fabricate, cut, and weld (MIG, TIG, Arc) metal components for structures, chutes, and piping.
- Operational Support: Monitor equipment performance to minimize downtime during shifts.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow safety standards, including hot work permits and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Documentation: Record maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and inventory usage.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: ITI in Fitter or Welder trade.
- Experience: Preference for experience in heavy industries such as steel, sponge iron, or ferro-alloys.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read drawings, use lathe/milling machines, and perform gas cutting.

- Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh, often within industrial areas such as Bhanpuri.
