DISPATCH SUPERVISOR ROLLING MILL FOR STEEL MANUFACTURING - RAIGARH , CHHATTISGARH

Job Description:

The Dispatch Supervisor oversees the daily dispatch operations of finished products from the rolling mill. The role ensures correct loading, proper stacking, accurate documentation, and timely delivery of steel products while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch Planning & Execution

• Plan daily dispatch schedules based on production output and sales orders.
• Ensure timely loading and dispatch of TMT bars, coils, billets, or other rolled products.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for product availability.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of finished goods inventory.
• Verify stock before dispatch and ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or company policy compliance.
• Monitor discrepancies between physical and system stock.

3. Loading & Transportation Coordination

• Supervise loading of materials onto trucks, trailers, or wagons.
• Ensure proper stacking, binding, and safety during loading.
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics providers.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare dispatch documents such as challans, invoices, gate passes, and e-way bills.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and company documentation requirements.
• Maintain records for audit and reporting purposes.

5. Team Supervision

• Lead and manage dispatch helpers, crane operators, and loaders.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Ensure discipline and adherence to safety rules.

6. Quality & Safety Control

• Ensure correct product grade, size, and quantity are dispatched.
• Check for damage or defects before dispatch.
• Enforce safety procedures in loading/unloading areas.

7. Coordination

• Work closely with sales, production, quality control, and logistics departments.
• Communicate dispatch status and delays to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain)
• Experience in steel plant dispatch or logistics (2–5 years preferred)
• Knowledge of rolling mill products (TMT bars, billets, coils, etc.)
• Familiarity with ERP systems and dispatch software
• Strong coordination and leadership skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, inventory systems)
