Job Description:

The HR Manager for Logistics is responsible for managing all human resource functions within the logistics and supply chain operations. This includes recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, training, performance management, compliance, payroll coordination, and labor law adherence for warehouse, transportation, and distribution staff. The role ensures efficient manpower management to support smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with logistics business goals.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staffing for warehouse, transport, and supply chain teams.
  • Coordinate workforce planning, shift scheduling, and manpower allocation.
  • Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, overtime, and payroll inputs.
  • Conduct training and development programs for logistics staff and supervisors.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes and employee productivity tracking.
  • Maintain HR records, employee documentation, and HRMIS systems.
  • Support retention initiatives and employee engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with operations managers to improve workforce efficiency.
  • Prepare HR reports related to attrition, absenteeism, hiring, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
  • 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain industries.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Experience handling blue-collar and field workforce management.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office tools.
