Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Functional Area

Key Responsibilities

Origination and Coverage

·    Originate and cover long‑term relationships across sectors such as roads, renewable energy, power transmission, ports, airports, logistics, telecom, data centres, schools, hospitals, etc.

·    Cover infrastructure sponsors, project developers, consultants, banks, and other institutional stakeholders for business.

·    Act as the primary point of contact for clients across the lifecycle of the loan—from origination to repayment.

Deal Execution

 

·    Coordinate with internal credit, legal, and risk teams for appraisal, documentation, and closure of transactions.

·    Prepare financial models and In-Principle Approvals for internal committees.

·    Negotiations on commercial terms, covenants, security structure, and documentation.

Portfolio & Stakeholder Management

·    Lead discussions with the Credit Committee and Board by articulating a clear credit rationale, risk mitigation frameworks, and deal merits to drive informed approval decisions.

·    Maintain ongoing engagement with borrowers to track project performance, cash flows, and covenant compliance and supplement the data to monitoring team.

·    Liaise with trustees, lenders, rating agencies, and regulators where required.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

·    Track infrastructure sector trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes impacting IDFs.

·    Provide market intelligence, pipeline updates, and MIS reports to senior management.

·    Contribute to product development, sector strategy, and business planning initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

 

·    Deal origination and disbursement volumes

·    Net interest Margins

·    Fees Earned

·    Timely deal execution and credit quality

·    Compliance with internal policies and regulatory norms

 

Qualifications Skills & Experience

Educational Qualification

MBA / Postgraduate degree in Finance, Banking, or equivalent

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience

8–12 years of experience in Mid-market/Wholesale lending, infrastructure finance, project finance

Relevant Exposure

Banks/NBFCs/IDFs/Infrastructure finance entities

Preferred Experience

Proven track record in relationship management and deal origination in infrastructure sectors

Functional Strength

·    Strong understanding of infrastructure project finance and cash‑flow–based lending

·    Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills

·    Credit appraisal and financial analysis capability

·    Knowledge of RBI regulations applicable to NBFC‑IDFs

·    Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

·    High integrity, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently
