We are seeking an experienced Level 3 (L3) Engineer with 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking settings in Linux, Linux security concepts, and data encryption at rest. Experience with Vormetric Data Security Manager or CipherTrust Manager is highly desirable.

The L3 Engineer will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring Level 2 (L2) Engineers, fostering knowledge sharing within the team. This position requires the ability to investigate and report root causes of problems, stay updated on new technologies, and actively participate in proof of concept activities. Furthermore, the candidate should ensure compliance with regulatory standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Linux Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Linux systems, networking configurations, and security concepts.
  2. Data Encryption: Possess hands-on experience and knowledge of data encryption at rest, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
  3. Vormetric/CipherTrust Advantage: Prior experience with Vormetric Data Security Manager or CipherTrust Manager is an added advantage.
  4. Team Leadership: Guide and mentor Level 2 Engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  5. Problem Investigation: Investigate and report root causes of technical issues, providing comprehensive and effective solutions.
  6. Technology Adoption: Stay updated on emerging technologies, actively engaging in proof of concept activities to evaluate and implement new solutions.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all systems and processes meet regulatory and compliance standards relevant to our customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of networking settings in Linux and Linux security concepts.
• Experience with data encryption at rest.
• Knowledge of Vormetric Data Security Manager or CipherTrust Manager is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and participate in proof of concept activities.
• Commitment to ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met.
