GAS CUTTER FOR STEEL TRADING - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

• Metal Sizing: Operate manual or semi-automated gas cutting equipment (oxy-acetylene/LPG) to cut raw structural steel, beams, plates, and pipes to exact dimensions.
• Material Preparation: Read and interpret cutting layouts and markings on the steel. Examine materials and mark them for cutting based on client or production requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance: Connect and inspect gas hoses, valves, and regulators. Fit the correct nozzle sizes and adjust gas pressures for different steel thicknesses.
• Scrap Dismantling: Trim and dismantle large or defective steel sections into manageable scrap pieces for resale or melting.
• Quality Control: Inspect cut edges for straightness and defects to ensure they meet structural and trading specifications.
• Safety & PPE Compliance: Adhere to strict fire safety protocols, utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure flashback arrestors are functional in the work area. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in steel trading, industrial construction, or metal manufacturing environments.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with oxy-fuel cutting processes, metal grades, and handling combustible gases.
• Certification: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification in Welder or Fitter trades is generally preferred.
• Physical Attributes: Good hand-eye coordination, eyesight, and the physical stamina to stand for long periods in loud, hot, industrial environments. [1, 2, 3, 4]
