ROLE OVERVIEW

 

The Analyst/Senior Analyst will play a critical role in supporting portfolio-level analysis, credit documentation, financial reporting, and operational finance workflows. This role requires strong hands-on analytical capability, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to manage multiple financial workstreams simultaneously. The analyst will work closely with internal engagement leads and US-based stakeholders to ensure that financial insights, credit materials, and portfolio data are accurate, well-organized, and decision-ready.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Financial & Portfolio Analysis

  • Perform detailed financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow review
  • Analyze historical and projected financials to support internal reviews and credit evaluation
  • Conduct rent roll analysis, including tenant concentration, lease expiry profiling, vacancy trends, and revenue stability
  • Assist in overall portfolio management, including asset-level tracking, performance monitoring, and variance analysis
  • Maintain portfolio dashboards and trackers for recurring performance metrics

 

Credit & Investment Support

  • Prepare and update Credit Memorandums (Credit Memos) with clear financial narratives, risk highlights, and supporting schedules
  • Compile borrower financials, rent rolls, tax returns, insurance documents, and third-party reports into structured credit packages
  • Support covenant testing, ongoing covenants management, and compliance tracking
  • Track reporting requirements and ensure timely receipt and validation of borrower deliverables

 

Documentation & Data Management

  • Manage documentation segregation across deals, portfolios, and reporting cycles
  • Maintain well-structured digital folder management systems aligned with internal and client SOPs
  • Ensure all financial, legal, and insurance documents are audit-ready and easily retrievable
  • Support internal reviews by maintaining version control and clean file naming conventions

 

Tax, Insurance & Compliance Support

  • Review and analyze US Tax Returns (individual and entity-level) for consistency with financial statements and credit assumptions
  • Assist with insurance claims tracking, policy review summaries, and claim documentation organization
  • Support compliance-related information requests from internal or external stakeholders

 

Reporting, Excel & Systems

  • Build and maintain Excel-based financial models, trackers, and analytical templates
  • Apply advanced Excel formulations, including lookup functions, pivot tables, logical formulas, and reconciliations
  • Support preparation of recurring and ad-hoc financial reports with analysis-ready outputs
  • Ensure data accuracy across reports used for management, credit, and portfolio decisions

 

Communication & Operational Support

  • Manage and respond to email communications related to documentation requests, reporting follow-ups, and internal coordination
  • Liaise with internal teams to track open items and resolve data gaps efficiently
  • Deliver well-structured written summaries and clarifications for US-based stakeholders
  • Operate effectively in an async delivery model, ensuring timely and independent execution of assigned tasks

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience — Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, portfolio management, or related finance roles
  • Financial Analysis — Strong understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and cash flow assessment
  • Credit Support — Hands-on experience preparing or supporting Credit Memos and underwriting documentation
  • Portfolio Exposure — Experience handling multiple assets or deals simultaneously with structured tracking
  • US Finance Familiarity — Understanding of US-based financial practices, tax returns, and documentation standards
  • Excel Proficiency — Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis tools
  • Documentation Discipline — Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of financial and deal documentation accurately
  • Communication — Strong written English skills for professional email correspondence and reporting
  • Ownership Mindset — Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines without close supervision

 

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

 

  • Prior experience supporting US real estate, lending, or investment portfolios
  • Exposure to rent roll analysis, covenant monitoring, or asset management reporting
  • Familiarity with insurance policies, claims processes, or compliance documentation
  • Background working with offshore delivery models supporting US clients
  • Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related academic qualification
