Job Description:

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Preferred job knowledge on sheet metal, plastic, stamping, and metrology.
  • Conducting on-site audits to verify supplier processes, quality management systems, and capabilities.
  • Establishing and tracking supplier metrics, such as defect rates and on-time delivery, using tools like PPAP, APQP, or Six Sigma.
  • Investigating supplier quality issues, addressing complaints, and issuing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Developing and maintaining quality agreements to ensure supplier compliance with company standards.
  • Supporting sourcing teams in qualifying new suppliers and verifying that supplier processes can meet product specifications.
  • Managing nonconforming materials from suppliers to minimize waste, production delays, and costs.
  • Providing training on process improvement tools and quality requirements to improve supplier performance.
  • Working with internal cross-functional teams (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing) to align supplier quality with business goals.

IT Skills

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality tools (SPC, Root Cause Analysis), and ISO standards.
  • Experience with supplier audits and quality system documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and lead improvements.
  • Ability to analyse data to identify trends and risks
  • Ability to analyse selection of material Import to Local
