VMC Operator (Chakan, Pune)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Safely prepare and operate VMC machines according to technical drawings and work instructions.
- Tooling: Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces to match job specifications.
- Programming & Offsets: Understand and modify G-code/M-code programs. Perform tool wear offsets and adjust speeds/feeds for optimal surface finish.
- Quality Control: Conduct first-piece inspections and regularly measure produced parts using precision instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning, routine machine maintenance, and follow preventive care procedures.
