Quality Inspector
Role Summary
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for conducting in-process inspections, final inspections, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for aerospace components and assemblies for the H125 Final Assembly Line (FAL). Prior experience in an aerospace manufacturing or assembly environment is required. The role ensures full compliance to aerospace standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection Activities
- Perform in-process inspection of aerospace parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Execute final inspection before delivery or movement to the next stage.
- Verify dimensional accuracy, tolerances, visual conformity, and workmanship.
- Review and validate inspection records, traceability documentation, and quality reports.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100), and TASL quality procedures.
- Support MRB, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist during internal and external audits.
NDT Responsibilities (Mandatory)
- Conduct NDT inspections as a Level 2 certified inspector in:
o Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
o Eddy Current Testing (ET)
o Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Interpret, evaluate, and document NDT results according to aerospace standards.
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of all NDT equipment.
- Maintain NDT records as per certification requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills Mandatory
- NDT Level II certification in UT, ET, and PT.
- Experience in aerospace in-process and final inspection (preferably structures, mechanical assemblies, or composite assemblies).
- Strong understanding of aerospace standards, inspection plans, and quality processes. Technical Skills • Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and aerospace tolerances.
- Experience with inspection tools (Vernier, Height Gauge, Micrometer, etc)
- Familiarity with documentation such as:
o First Article Inspection (FAI)
o FAIR
o NCR, MRB processes
